DirtGlue Polymer Emulsion is an excellent alternative for capping of storage piles. The application in the pictures had a total surface area of approximately 72,000 square feet. DirtGlue PE was applied at the prescribed application rate for dust and erosion control to develop a crust to protect this large landfill pile. DirtGlue PE was applied with a basic hydroseeder with a dilution of approximately 6:1.
If you note in the lower right hand picture (click on the thumbnails in the right frame of this page) you may notice pieces of black porous plastic material. This material previously covered the entire pile. It did not work and was removed. The operators of this landfill instead elected a DirtGlue Dust and Erosion control solution.
